The Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host Blue Ridge Barons to 64 in the Mavericks league victory on Wednesday.
The Mavericks now sport a 22-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host The Covenant for a Virginia Independent contest on Saturday, February 17. Miller School of Albemarle will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-36 league win over Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-14.
The Barons (19-9) will now prepare for their contest against New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Gryphons come into the VISAA Division IV contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, New Covenant was defeated by Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA), 82-72, in a league contest.
