The John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) basketball felled the visiting Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA), 44-29 in Wednesday's league test.

The Patriots (16-10) will now prepare for their test against Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA). The Crusaders go into the 5A District 9 test with a 18-13 record. In their last test, Brother Martin was beaten by Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA), 59-54, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 22-10 record. They play next when they travel to St. Augustine for a 5A District 9 match on Friday, February 16. Edna Karr will meet a Purple Knights team coming off a 56-34 league win over Holy Cross (New Orleans, LA). The Purple Knights record now stands at 21-11.
