North Carolina High School Basketball - Overhills knocked off by Westover

The Westover Wolverines basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Overhills Jaguars to 46 in the Wolverines league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wolverines now sport a 21-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host E.E. Smith for a 3A/4A All-American contest on Friday, February 16. Westover will battle a Golden Bulls team coming off a 49-44 league win over Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls record now stands at 10-10.

The Jaguars (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against Triton (Erwin, NC). The Hawks enter the 3A/4A All-American contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Triton ran past Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC), 69-51, in a league contest.
