February 14, 2025: Lafayette, LA 70501 Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA), 61-18 in a league match.
With the victory, Ascension Episcopal advances its record to 15-12 on the year. The travel to St. Edmund (Eunice, LA) to face the Fighting Blue Jays in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. The Fighting Blue Jays enter the match with a record of 14-17.
The Bears now own a 8-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gueydan for a 1A District 6 match on Friday, February 21.
