Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Liberty Lancers (Colorado Springs, CO), 52-49 in a league match.

With the victory, Doherty advances its record to 12-8 on the year. The Spartans travel to Fountain-Fort Carson (Fountain, CO) to face the Trojans in a 6A/5A/4A Colorado Springs Metro - Metro match on Saturday, February 15. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 3-17. Fountain-Fort Carson lost 57-35 in their recent league match against Rampart (Colorado Springs, CO)

The Lancers now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pueblo West for a 6A/5A/4A Colorado Springs Metro - Metro match on Tuesday, February 18. Liberty will face a Cyclones squad coming off a 72-53 non-league win over Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Cyclones record now stands at 13-8.
