In Friday's league contest, the visiting LeRoy Panthers basketball team scored a close 56-50 triumph over the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons.

The Panthers (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Knights enter the Heart of Illinois battle with a 20-8 record. In their last battle, Fieldcrest was nudged by Tremont (Tremont, IL), 81-66, in a league battle.

The Falcons now own a 13-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Varsity Opponent for a non-league battle on Monday, February 17. Flanagan-Cornell will meet a squad coming off a 101-70 non-league loss to Patrick School (Hillside, NJ). The record now stands at 459-1557.
