In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting North Star Cougars basketball team scored a big 72-44 win over the West Branch Warriors.

The Cougars (18-5) will now prepare for their contest against McConnellsburg (McConnellsburg, PA). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 20-1 record. In their last contest, McConnellsburg smashed Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD), 63-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 18. West Branch will attempt to better on its 19-4 season record. The Comets come into the contest with a 10-12 record after their 48-47 non-league loss to North Star (Boswell, PA).
