The North Star Cougars basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Tussey Mountain Titans to 24 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they host United for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. North Star will confront a Lions team coming off a 92-56 non-league win over Somerset (Somerset, PA). The Lions record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Tussey Mountain falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Titans host Forbes Road (Waterfall, PA) to confront the in a non-league game on Friday, January 3. The go into the game with a record of 7-1. Forbes Road won 79-48 in their recent non-league game against East Juniata (McAlisterville, PA)
