The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) and the visiting Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers (Berlin, PA), observed North Star's basketball team overwhelm Berlin Brothersvalley by a score of 65-32.

The Cougars (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Ligonier Valley was routed by Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA), 68-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers (Chester, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Berlin Brothersvalley will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Sabers come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 62-56 league win over Dock Mennonite (Lansdale, PA).
