United Lions (Armagh, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), 64-56 in a non-league match.

With the victory, United upgrades its record to 8-2 on the year. The Lions host Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA) to face the Blue Jays in a Heritage match on Thursday, January 2. The Blue Jays enter the match with a record of 5-4. Conemaugh Valley won 62-45 in their recent league match against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA)

The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shanksville Stonycreek for a non-league match on Friday, January 3.
