The Patterson Lumberjacks (Patterson, LA) basketball nipped the visiting St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA), 78-71 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lumberjacks (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Lutcher (Lutcher, LA). The Bulldogs go into the 3A District 9 test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Lutcher was tipped by Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA), 66-38, in a non-league test.
