South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Pontotoc upgrades its record to 22-9 on the season. The Cougars travel to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 18. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 16-6. Clarksdale won 60-41 in their recent non-league bout against Louisville (Louisville, MS)
