The Ripley Tigers basketball team (Ripley, MS), was nudged 55-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the host South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS)

The Cougars now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Houston for a 4A Region 2 battle on Friday, December 10. South Pontotoc will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 77-46 league win over North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 10-1.
