Michigan High School Basketball - Catholic Central overwhelms Wayland
February 15, 2022: Wayland, MI 49348 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Catholic Central Cougars (Grand Rapids, MI) and the host Wayland Wildcats (Wayland, MI), saw Catholic Central's basketball squad wallop Wayland by a tally of 60-35.
With the victory, Catholic Central improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Thornapple Kellogg (Middleville, MI) to play the Trojans in a Ottawa-Kent - Gold challenge on Friday, February 18. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Thornapple Kellogg lost 34-28 in their recent league challenge against Cedar Springs (Cedar Springs, MI)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Cedar Springs Red Hawks (Cedar Springs, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Gold challenge, on Friday, February 18. Wayland will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 36-34 league win over Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI).
