Kentucky High School Basketball - Lewis County nips Greenup County
February 15, 2024: Vanceburg, KY 41179 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) and the visiting Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY), saw Lewis County's basketball squad hold off Greenup County by a tally of 56-53.
With the victory, Lewis County improves its record to 7-14 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Boone County (Florence, KY) to play the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 17-7. Boone County won 63-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Archbishop McNicholas (Cincinnati, OH)
Next up, the Musketeers play the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 20. Greenup County will attempt to improve on its 15-13 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 7-17 record after their 57-42 non-league loss to Raceland (Raceland, KY).
