February 15, 2024: Victor, MT 59875 The Victor Pirates basketball team (Victor, MT), was overwhelmed 65-41 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Valley Christian Eagles (Missoula, MT)
The Eagles now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Drummond for a non-league battle on Friday, February 16. Valley Christian will battle a Trojans team coming off a 58-24 non-league win over Victor (Victor, MT). The Trojans record now stands at 18-2.
Game Summary
District Tournament round 1 in Frenchtown Montana. Valley boys came out red hot and on a mission in the 1st quarter scoring four 3's (1 by Stoltzfus and 3 by McKethen)! Game momentum continued from there into the 3rd quarter, at which time Valley subbed in their less experienced squad, who still continued to steamroll the opponent. Leaders for the Eagles included; McKethen with 19 points scoring leader in the game, Stoltzfus with 12 points and Fanguy with 9 points. Kyler Panique pulled down an impressive 9 rebounds. Stoltzfus also leading with assists with 4. Leading scorers for the Victor Pirate ship includes; Russell Drewen with 13, Josiah Berk with 11 and Alec Rowlan with 10. Valley Christian prestigious "hard hat workhorse award" given to Nicholas Karvandi in the game.
