South Dakota High School Basketball - Little Wound holds off Lead-Deadwood
February 15, 2025: Kyle, SD 57752 The Little Wound Mustangs basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers to 65 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mustangs now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lower Brule for a non-league game on Monday, February 17. Little Wound will confront a Sioux team coming off a 70-60 non-league loss to St. Francis Indian (St. Francis, SD). The Sioux record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Lead-Deadwood falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Golddiggers travel to Custer (Custer, SD) to confront the Wildcats in a A Region 8 game on Thursday, February 20. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 14-5. Custer lost 52-45 in their recent non-league game against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD)
