Illinois High School Basketball - Watseka bested by Schlarman
February 15, 2025: Watseka, IL 60970 Schlarman Hilltoppers (Danville, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL), 48-40 in a league match.
With the victory, Schlarman advances its record to 11-11 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL) to meet the Lions in a non-league match on Monday, February 17. The Lions enter the match with a record of 17-7. La Salette Academy won 64-29 in their recent non-league match against Calvary Christian Academy (Normal, IL)
The Warriors now own a 10-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milford for a Vermilion Valley match on Tuesday, February 18. Watseka will meet a Bearcats squad coming off a 41-29 league loss to Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-22.
