Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), 60-48 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Capital upgrades its record to 5-12 on the year. The Cougars host Riverside (Belle, WV) to face the Warriors in a Mountain State match on Monday, February 17. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 3-14. Riverside lost 68-43 in their recent league match against Huntington (Huntington, WV)

The Huskies now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Princeton for a Freelance match on Wednesday, February 19. Hoover will face a Tigers squad coming off a 59-45 league win over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 12-4.
