Connecticut High School Ice Hockey - Cushing Academy holds off Canterbury School
February 15, 2025: New Milford, CT 06776 The Cushing Academy Penguins ice hockey team scored 3 points and held the host Canterbury School Saints to 2 in the Penguins non-league victory on Saturday.
The Penguins now own a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Phillips Academy for a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 19. Cushing Academy will play a Big Blue team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Governor's Academy (Byfield, MA). The Big Blue record now stands at 13-8.
With the defeat, Canterbury School moves to 11-13 on the season. The Saints travel to Frederick Gunn (Washington, CT) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Monday, February 17. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 11-13. Frederick Gunn lost 4-3 in their recent non-league bout against Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, NJ)
