The Coleman Comets basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Merrill Vandals to 47 in the Comets league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carson City-Crystal for a Mid-State contest on Friday, February 18. Coleman will battle a Eagles team coming off a 40-26 league win over Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 15-2.

The Vandals (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Montabella (Blanchard, MI). The Mustangs enter the Mid-State contest with a 13-1 record.
