Roy/Mosquero Blue or Lady Blue (Roy, NM) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM), 45-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Roy/Mosquero upgrades its record to 20-4 on the season. The Blue or Lady Blue travel to Des Moines (Des Moines, NM) to clash with the Demons in a A District 5 bout on Friday, February 18. The Demons go into the bout with a record of 10-12. Des Moines lost 65-61 in their recent league bout against Springer (Springer, NM)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM) in a A District 5 bout, on Thursday, February 17. Maxwell will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 64-9 league win over Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM).
