McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Covington Cougars (Covington, VA), 63-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McCluer upgrades its record to 20-1 on the season.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a Pioneer bout, on Friday, February 18. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Green Waves go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 47-32 league loss to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA).
