February 16, 2023: Carrollton, GA 30116 The Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA), 60-44 in Thursday's league test.
The Lions (23-3) will now prepare for their test against Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA). The Phoenix go into the non-league test with a 19-7 record. In their last test, Sonoraville notched a victory over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA), 53-36, in a non-league test.
The Bruins now own a 15-11 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Whitfield County for a non-league test on Friday, February 17. Northwest Whitfield will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 53-36 non-league loss to Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 12-14.
