In Friday's league outing, the Unioto Shermans (Chillicothe, OH) basketball squad edged the host Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH), by a count of 45-40.

The Shermans (17-5) will now prepare for their outing against Sheridan (Thornville, OH). The Generals go into the non-league outing with a 12-9 record. In their last outing, Sheridan was tipped by Tri-Valley (Dresden, OH), 68-48, in a league outing.

The Redstreaks now hold a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Westfall for a non-league outing on Monday, February 19. Piketon will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 59-47 league loss to Adena (Frankfort, OH). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-8.
