New Mexico High School Basketball - Gallup overwhelms Aztec
February 16, 2024: Aztec, NM 87410 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) and the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM), saw Gallup's basketball squad wallop Aztec by a tally of 55-29.
With the victory, Gallup improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Bengals host Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM) to confront the Broncos in a 4A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 21-2. Kirtland Central won 70-42 in their recent league challenge against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 20. Aztec will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 5-19 record after their 47-29 league loss to Shiprock (Shiprock, NM).
