In Friday's league test, the visiting Sarasota Sailors lacrosse squad scored a good 15-5 victory over the Venice Indians.

The Sailors now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakewood Ranch for a 2A D11 battle on Tuesday, February 20. Sarasota will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 19-7 league loss to Riverview Sarasota (Sarasota, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.

In their next game, the Indians clash with the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder (Sarasota, FL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, February 20. Venice will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Thunder come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 23-2 non-league win over Parrish Community (Parrish, FL).
