February 16, 2024: Mt. Airy, GA 30563 The crowd at Friday's league test between the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) and the visiting Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA), saw Habersham Central's soccer squad triumph over Apalachee by a count of 8-0.
The Raiders now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Meadowcreek for a non-league test on Monday, February 19. Habersham Central will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Johnson (Gainesville, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Apalachee drops to 0-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA) to meet the Longhorns in a 6A Region 8 test on Tuesday, February 20. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 1-3. Lanier lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Centennial (Roswell, GA)
