February 17, 2023: Marathon, WI 54448 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Marathon Red Raiders (Marathon, WI) and the visiting Newman Fighting Cardinals (Wausau, WI), saw Marathon's basketball squad overcome Newman by a tally of 86-76.
With the victory, Marathon improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to Stanley-Boyd (Stanley, WI) to confront the Orioles in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 20. The Orioles come into the challenge with a record of 6-16. Stanley-Boyd lost 47-43 in their recent league challenge against Bloomer (Bloomer, WI)
Next up, the Fighting Cardinals confront the Stoughton Vikings (Stoughton, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 18. Newman will attempt to improve on its 18-3 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 59-53 league win over Fort Atkinson (Fort Atkinson, WI).
