Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 30 test, on Tuesday, February 21. Nixon will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 8-10 record after their 4-1 league win over Palmview (La Joya, TX).
