Kansas High School Basketball - Washburn Rural can't hold off Manhattan
February 18, 2022: Topeka, KS 66619 The Manhattan Indians basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Washburn Rural Blues to 56 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seaman for a Centennial contest on Tuesday, February 22. Manhattan will battle a Vikings team coming off a 74-47 non-league win over Lansing (Lansing, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 11-7.
The Blues (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Junction City/St. Xavier (Junction City, KS). The Bluejays enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Junction City/St. Xavier was nudged by Highland Park (Topeka, KS), 66-51, in a non-league contest.
