Colon Magi (Colon, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Climax-Scotts Panthers (Climax, MI), 39-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Colon upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Magi travel to St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Fighting Tigers in a Southern Central bout on Tuesday, February 22. The Fighting Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-10.

Next up, the Panthers play the Battle Creek Academy Tigers (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 22. Climax-Scotts will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 48-21 non-league win over West Michigan Lutheran (Wyoming, MI).
