New Mexico High School Basketball - Kirtland Central overwhelms Shiprock
February 18, 2023: Shiprock, NM 87420 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) and the host Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), saw Kirtland Central's basketball squad wallop Shiprock by a tally of 74-25.
With the victory, Kirtland Central improves its record to 24-2 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Gallup (Gallup, NM) to confront the Bengals in a 4A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 22-4. Gallup won 79-41 in their recent league challenge against Miyamura (Gallup, NM)
Next up, the Chieftains confront the Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 21. Shiprock will attempt to improve on its 5-21 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 16-9 record after their 51-36 league win over Aztec (Aztec, NM).
