Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Redwood Giants (Larkspur, CA), 54-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Miramonte upgrades its record to 24-4 on the season. The Matadors travel to Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA) to play the Mariners in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 22. The Mariners go into the bout with a record of 19-8. Moreau Catholic won 74-27 in their recent non-league bout against Newark Memorial (Newark, CA)
