Maine High School Ice Hockey - Cheverus can't get by York
February 18, 2023: Portland, ME 04103 York Wildcats (York, ME) followers left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey team nip the host Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME), 4-3 in a league match.
The Wildcats (11-6) will now prepare for their match against Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Dragons enter the Class B South match with a 12-1 record. In their last match, Brunswick tipped Gorham (Gorham, ME), 3-2, in a league match.
Next up, the Stags clash with the Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) in a Class B South match, on Wednesday, February 22. Cheverus will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Capers enter the match with a 12-2 record after their 6-1 league win over Greely (Cumberland Center, ME).
