Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Joseph Flyers (Victoria, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robstown for a non-league challenge on Monday, February 20. Taft will face a Cottonpickers squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Miller (Corpus Christi, TX). The Cottonpickers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, St. Joseph falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Flyers travel to Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX) to face the Marlins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Marlins enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
