Michigan High School Basketball - Niles overwhelms Mattawan
February 18, 2025: Mattawan, MI 49071 The Niles Vikings basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Mattawan Wildcats to 23 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now possess a 6-14 record. They play next when they travel to Plainwell for a Wolverine B game on Friday, February 21. Niles will confront a Trojans team coming off a 68-44 league loss to Three Rivers (Three Rivers, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 7-11.
With the loss, Mattawan falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Portage Northern (Portage, MI) to confront the Huskies in a Southwestern Michigan - West game on Thursday, February 20. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 0-19. Portage Northern lost 57-28 in their recent non-league game against Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI)
