Kentucky High School Basketball - Oneida Baptist Institute crushes Owsley County
February 19, 2024: Oneida, KY 40972 Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers (Oneida, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls (Booneville, KY), 93-58 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Oneida Baptist Institute upgrades its record to 15-14 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Somerset Christian (Somerset, KY) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, February 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-18. Somerset Christian lost 79-73 in their recent non-league bout against Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY)
Next up, the Owls / Lady Owls play the Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. Owsley County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-23 season record. The Cougars / Lady Cougars go into the bout with a 15-12 record after their 79-64 non-league win over Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY).
