New Mexico High School Basketball - Penasco fells McCurdy
February 19, 2024: Espanola, NM 87532 Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM), 53-39 in a league bout.
In their next game, the Panthers face the Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) in a 2A District 5 game, on Thursday, February 22. Penasco will attempt to move on its 15-9 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 21-3 record after their 74-40 league win over Questa (Questa, NM).
With the defeat, McCurdy moves to 8-13 on the year. The Bobcats host Questa (Questa, NM) to face the Wildcats in a 2A District 5 game on Tuesday, February 20. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 16-8. Questa lost 74-40 in their recent league game against Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM)
