In Thursday's non-league bout, the Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), by a tally of 18-3.

In their next game, the Raiders confront the Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 20. Northwest will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 6-0 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Negreet (Negreet, LA).

The Spartans now possess a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Church Point for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 21. Comeaux will face a Bears team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Carencro (Lafayette, LA). The Bears record now stands at 6-1.
