Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the host Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS), 8-6 in a non-league game.

The Panthers (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Vikings go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Warren Central by Madison Central (Madison, MS), 2-1, in a non-league game.

The Jaguars now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lewisburg for a non-league match on Friday, February 20. Madison Central will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 16-6 non-league win over Marshall Academy (Holly Springs, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 2-1.
