Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME), 46-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dirigo upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Telstar (Bethel, ME) to play the Rebels in a C South bout on Friday, February 4. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 2-11. Telstar won 37-18 in their recent league bout against Buckfield (Buckfield, ME)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 5. Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record.
