Maryland High School Basketball - Mercy holds off Gerstell Academy
February 2, 2022: Baltimore, MD 21239 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mercy Magic (Baltimore, MD) and the visiting Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD), saw Mercy's basketball squad hold off Gerstell Academy by a tally of 41-40.
With the victory, Mercy improves its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Magic host Severn School (Severna Park, MD) to confront the Admirals in a IAAM B2 challenge on Friday, February 4. The Admirals come into the challenge with a record of 6-11.
Next up, the confront the St. Mary's Saints (Annapolis, MD) in a IAAM B2 challenge, on Friday, February 4. Gerstell Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 43-36 league win over Bryn Mawr (Baltimore, MD).
