February 2, 2023: Socorro, NM 87801 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) and the visiting Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM), saw Socorro's basketball squad overcome Cobre by a tally of 57-43.
With the victory, Socorro improves its record to 7-15 on the campaign. The Warriors host Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM) to confront the Tigers in a 3A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Hot Springs won 60-21 in their recent league challenge against Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM)
Next up, the Indians confront the Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM) in a 3A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Cobre will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 60-21 league loss to Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM).
