In Thursday's league match, the host Lawrence Tigers basketball team scored a tight 58-57 triumph over the Comstock Colts.

In their next game, the Tigers meet the Black River Rats (Holland, MI) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 6. Lawrence will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Rats enter the match with a 4-9 record after their 61-57 non-league loss to Kellogg (Delton, MI).

With the defeat, Comstock moves to 7-7 on the year. The Colts travel to Centreville (Centreville, MI) to meet the Bulldogs in a Southwest 10 match on Tuesday, February 7.
