February 2, 2023: Greenbelt, MD 20770 In Thursday's league outing, the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (Greenbelt, MD) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD), by a count of 59-11.
The Raiders (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against High Point (Beltsville, MD). The Eagles go into the Prince George's County 4A outing with a 2-14 record. In their last game, High Point routed International High School at Largo (Largo, MD), 67-4, in a non-league game.
With the defeat, Northwestern moves to 1-13 on the year. The Wildcats host Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD) to face the Mustangs in a Prince George's County 4A game on Tuesday, February 7. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 9-7. Bladensburg lost 66-57 in their recent league game against Parkdale (Riverdale, MD)
