Virginia High School Basketball - Isle of Wight Academy thwarts Greenbrier Christian Academy
February 2, 2023: Isle of Wight, VA 23397 The Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA), 63-48 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Chargers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot notched a victory over Fuqua (Farmville, VA), 57-43, in a league test.
The Gators now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they host Broadwater Academy for a Metropolitan test on Saturday, February 4. Greenbrier Christian Academy will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 43-33 league win over Gateway Christian (Virginia Beach, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-7.
