West Virginia High School Basketball - Hampshire ripped by University
February 2, 2023: Morgantown, WV 26508 The University Hawks basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Hampshire Trojans to 22 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hawks now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union Local for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. University will meet a Jets team coming off a 65-52 non-league win over Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Jets record now stands at 12-7.
The Trojans (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Buckhannon-Upshur triumphed over Lewis County (Weston, WV), 49-46, in a league contest.
