The Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV) basketball felled the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 51-43 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Trojans (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Cougars go into the Eastern Panhandle test with a 7-4 record.

The Knights now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they travel to Philip Barbour for a Big Ten test on Tuesday, January 24. Preston will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 59-42 league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Colts record now stands at 6-6.
