Massachusetts High School Basketball - Medford nips Somerville
February 2, 2023: Somerville, MA 02143 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Medford Mustangs (Medford, MA) and the host Somerville Highlanders (Somerville, MA), saw Medford's basketball squad hold off Somerville by a count of 43-36.
With the victory, Medford upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Chelsea (Chelsea, MA) to play the Red Devils in a Greater Boston challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 1-16. Chelsea lost 60-37 in their recent league challenge against Revere (Revere, MA)
Next up, the Highlanders play the Everett Crimson Tide (Everett, MA) in a Greater Boston challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Crimson Tide come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 74-56 league loss to Lynn English (Lynn, MA).
